Are there any additional costs I should be aware of beyond the stated course fee? For example, exam fees or materials?

For the NEBDN National Diploma, the course fee covers Sage Dental Nursing's tuition and online learning materials. There will be separate examination and registration fees payable directly to the National Examining Board for Dental Nurses (NEBDN). We provide clear information on these external NEBDN fees.

For the Sedation Mentorship Programme, the fee covers the supervised practical mentorship at Sage Dental Referral Centre. Please remember that you must have already completed and paid for an accredited theory training course in sedation and hold a current Immediate Life Support (ILS) certification before starting our mentorship. These prerequisite course costs are separate and not included in our mentorship fee.

Can my employer pay for my course? How does that work?
Yes, many employers sponsor their staff for our courses, including both the NEBDN Diploma and the Sedation Mentorship Programme. If your employer is paying your course fee, they can contact us at info@sagedentalnursing.uk to arrange payment and to request an invoice. Please provide them with our contact details.
Is it possible to get a discount if multiple people from the same dental practice enrol together?
If you have a group from the same practice looking to enrol in either the NEBDN Diploma or the Sedation Mentorship Programme, please contact us at info@sagedentalnursing.uk to discuss your requirements. While we don't have standard group discounts advertised, we can review requests on an individual basis. For the Sedation Mentorship, the dentist fee already includes one nurse, with an option to add another for a set fee.
If I have an issue making an online payment, who should I contact?
If you experience any difficulties while trying to make your payment online via the Sage Dental Nursing website for any of our courses, please first ensure your card details are correct and you have sufficient funds. If problems persist, contact our support team immediately at info@sagedentalnursing.uk or call us on +44 02034688001 for assistance.
Is Sage Dental Nursing an official NEBDN training centre?
Yes, Sage Dental Nursing is an accredited training provider for the National Examining Board for Dental Nurses (NEBDN). We are authorised to deliver the NEBDN National Diploma in Dental Nursing, which leads to a GDC-recognised qualification.
Do I get a certificate upon completion?
Upon successfully passing your NEBDN assessments for the National Diploma in Dental Nursing, the NEBDN will award you with a certificate and a badge. This qualification then allows you to apply to the General Dental Council (GDC) for registration as a qualified dental nurse. For other CPD courses offered by Sage Dental Nursing, you will receive a certificate of completion from Sage Dental Nursing.
How long does the NEBDN National Diploma course take with Sage Dental Nursing?
The NEBDN National Diploma in Dental Nursing with Sage Dental Nursing is designed to be flexible. While you can progress at a pace that suits your learning style and work commitments, the course typically takes between one to two years to complete, including the necessary RoE (Record of Experience) and exam preparation. Our online learning platform allows you to study anytime, anywhere. The specific duration for other courses, like our Sedation Mentorship Programme or CPDs, will be outlined on their respective course pages on https://sagedentalnursing.uk/courses.
How quickly can I start learning with Sage Dental Nursing?

For our NEBDN National Diploma in Dental Nursing, you can start learning almost immediately. Once your enrolment is complete and payment (either upfront or initial deposit for an instalment plan) is processed, you'll receive access to our online learning platform and materials.

For the Sedation Mentorship Programme, you can begin the mentorship once your prerequisites (completed accredited theory, ILS certification, and necessary documentation) are verified and your place is confirmed.

When can new students register for courses with Sage Dental Nursing?

You can register for our online courses, like the NEBDN National Diploma, at any time, 24/7, 365 days a year, through our website, sagedentalnursing.uk.

For the Sedation Mentorship Programme, enrolment is subject to availability and verification of prerequisites; please contact us at info@sagedentalnursing.uk to enquire about start dates and the application process.

I'm not currently employed in a dental practice. Can I still join a Sage Dental Nursing course?

For the NEBDN National Diploma in Dental Nursing, you can enrol and start studying our online course materials even if you are not yet employed. However, to complete the qualification and sit the NEBDN examinations, you must be employed as a trainee dental nurse in a dental practice, as you will need to complete a Record of Experience (RoE), which requires workplace-based practical experience and a GDC-registered witness. Our course includes a 2-week clinical experience placement to help you gain exposure, and we offer career support to assist with finding employment.

For the Sedation Mentorship Programme, this is designed for dentists and dental nurses who are already qualified and GDC registered and typically working in a clinical setting where they can apply their sedation skills. You must have completed accredited theory training and ILS certification prior to starting the mentorship.

How much time per week should I dedicate to studying for the NEBDN National Diploma?

This is flexible and depends on your personal circumstances and learning speed. As our NEBDN Diploma is online and self-paced, you can adjust your study time. However, we generally recommend allocating a consistent number of hours each week (e.g., 5-10 hours) to progress steadily through the material and complete the course within the typical 1-2 year timeframe.

What happens if I fall behind my 'Course Progress Target' for the NEBDN Diploma?
The 'Course Progress Target' is mainly a self-monitoring tool to help you pace your studies for the NEBDN Diploma. Unlike the 'Record of Experience (RoE) Progress Target', falling slightly behind the 'Course Progress Target' for online lessons doesn't trigger automatic alerts from our system. We encourage you to use it as a guide to stay on track for your chosen exam date.
What online system does Sage Dental Nursing use for me to track my NEBDN Diploma progress and RoE?
Sage Dental Nursing provides an online learning platform or student portal where you can access your NEBDN National Diploma course materials, track your overall course progress, and monitor your Record of Experience (RoE) submissions.
If I'm consistently ahead of my 'Course Progress Target' for the NEBDN Diploma, are there any benefits or opportunities to progress faster towards my exam?
While being ahead of your 'Course Progress Target' is excellent and shows great dedication, the primary factor determining your exam entry is the completion of your Record of Experience (RoE) by the NEBDN's official deadlines and ensuring you have covered all syllabus content thoroughly. Being ahead with online lessons gives you more time for revision and RoE completion without feeling rushed. Sage Dental Nursing will support your exam entry based on overall readiness and RoE completion, rather than solely on how quickly online lessons are finished.
If I am having technical difficulties with the Sage Dental Nursing platform (e.g., videos not playing, pages not loading) that are preventing me from studying, will my progress targets be adjusted?
If you experience technical difficulties, please report them immediately to info@sagedentalnursing.uk. Our team will work to resolve them as quickly as possible. While progress targets are generally automated based on timelines, if a widespread or prolonged technical issue on our end significantly impedes your ability to study, we would take that into consideration. However, minor or isolated user-end issues might not lead to target adjustments.
How does Sage Dental Nursing ensure the security and privacy of my personal data and RoE information submitted through the online platform?
Sage Dental Nursing takes data protection and privacy very seriously. Our online platform and data handling processes are designed to be compliant with relevant data protection regulations (like GDPR). We use secure systems for storing your personal information and your academic/RoE records. For detailed information, please refer to our Privacy Policy on the website.
I've forgotten my Sage Dental Nursing username or password, or I don't think I received them. How can I access my account?

This will usually send instructions to the email address you registered with. I'm going on holiday. Will I miss parts of my NEBDN Diploma course?
No, the online materials for your NEBDN National Diploma in Dental Nursing with Sage Dental Nursing will remain accessible to you 24/7 according to your enrolment terms. You can simply pick up where you left off when you return. Remember to keep your overall RoE and exam target deadlines in mind when planning any breaks.

My internet connection can be slow. Will I still be able to watch the video lessons for the NEBDN Diploma?

This means the system automatically adjusts the video quality based on your internet speed (bandwidth) and device.
